| Abstract: | Based on the rigid viscoplastic finite element method (FEM) theory, the bimetal extrusion process in a non steady state was analysed by FEM with frictional elements inserted between two contacting materials. The distribution of the stress and strain in the deformed body was obtained. The material flow of the bimetal during extrusion was clearly shown. |
