文理科大学生的英语会话含义理解能力调查

摘    要:研究调查了非英语专业文理科大学生理解英语会话含义的能力,研究结果发现学生理解英语会话含义的能力有很大个体差异,但文理科学生在这方面没有显著的组间差异。此外,学生的会话含义理解测试成绩与他们的英语课成绩之间没有显著的相关关系,但缺乏相关词汇知识是妨碍学生理解会话含义的原因之一。另两大原因是学生缺乏必要的社会文化背景知识和对特定类型的会话含义不熟悉。

Abstract:The present study investigated how well university students of non-English majors could interpret conversational implicatures in English.It was found that although non-English majors' ability to interpret English conversational implicatures varied greatly,there was no significant group difference between students of sciences and those of liberal arts in this regard.Besides,statistical results indicated no significant correlation between the students' English course scores and their implicature comprehension...
