Challenges of Electronic Currency on Financial Regulation and Countermeasures

The network economy based on the information revolution has deep influence on the traditional financial theory. Network finance has already become the main flow of financial industry in this century and electronic currency will play a big role to the life of social economy. The development of electronic currency makes the traditional currency theory and the relation between supply and demand change greatly, and brings a new challenge for the financial regulation of government. As the electronic currency time is coming, the financial regulation organizations must adopt concrete countermeasures to build a stable and practical operation space for network finance. This paper puts forward some countermeasures for promoting the development of electronic currency and accelerating the healthy operation of network economy starting from the analysis on the challenges brought about by electronic currency, a new kind of financial tool, to the financial regulation.
