《现代汉语通用字表》“一”部字构形笔意分析

汉字“以形示义”的功能和汉民族“据形识义”的文化心理，使得人们总是试图对发展后的字形和字义做出新的诠释，以其使新的形义关系得到统一。然而，《现代汉语通用字表》中的“一”部字的大部分形体与原始的构已经不能吻合，其构形笔意主要表现为实物之象、自然景貌、行为动作、人体部位、抽象符号等。其构型笔意相当多变，很难按照一个统一的义群去归类，作为一个部首，它仅仅起着检字之作用，在现行汉字体系中，它已失去了“以形示义”的功能。

A Morphemicological Approach to Characters with Radical “—” in the List of Commonly Used Characters in Modern Chinese

Being aware of the function of Chinese characters＇ displaying meaning with the shape and influenced by the cultural tendency of basing meaning on the shape, one is inclined to reinterpret the relationship be- tween the form and the meaning of an evolved character, hoping to identify the form with the meaning. However, for a great majority of characters with Radical ＂~＂, their shapes are no longer identical to their original forms, with the strokes generally signifying images, natural objects, behaviors, parts of the human body and abstract symbols, etc. In light of this, it is hardly possible to categorize the characters according to a meaningoriented criterion. As a radical,“—” functions only as an index, for it has lost the function of displaying meaning.
