评"近义"说之误

"近义"说是目前对汉语同义词最流行的界说,以为同义词是"意义相同、相近的词",同义词=等义词+近义词.这种同义词观界域含糊、概念混乱,误解等义词,误用、误解近义词,以(或"兼顾")整个词为辨析单位.若干年来,它对汉语同义词,特别是古汉语同义词研究带来了很大的危害理论上模糊、混乱;词义辨释上使同义词的构组、立义、辨异诸方面产生种种弊病,因而不能出现精审的辨释成果,至今无法产生一本科学的中型古汉语同义词词典.因此"近义"说在理论和实践上都表明是误说,应当坚决、彻底废弃.

Remarking on Faults of the "Homogeneous Meaning" Theory

The "homogeneous meaning" theory is the most prevalent boundary conception of chinese synonyms at present. In this theory, synonyms have "the same or similar meaning", equivalents added up to homonyms come up to synonyms. The dividing line of this theory is vague, and conceptions of this theory are confusable. paople who agree to this theory misunderstand equivalents and homonyms, abuse homongms, when they distinguish synonyms, they take it for granted (or "give consideration to") that the whole word is a unit. For the past several years. This theory brought about great dangers to chinese synonyms, specially to ancrent chinese synonyms: in theory, it is obscure and confusable; in practice, it causes many faults in constructing groups, establishing meanings and distinguishing synonyms. So it can not lead to excellent fruits. Up to now, there has no a medium\|sized scientific dictionary of ancient chinese synonyms. In a word, the theory of "homoyeneous meaning" is proved correct neither in practice nor in doctrine. We should completely abolish it.
