| Abstract: | Numerous examples of long term landscape are presented relating soil and regolith to landforms going back to Cenozoic or Mesozoic times. Many conventional approaches to soil are inappropriate for such materials. It is important to study the entire regolith, and realise it seldom reveals all the changes of climate ithas experienced. |
