| Abstract: | The mobile SCTP is the extended SCTP, it supports IP mobility. IP mobility has two key issues:Location Management and Handover Management. Some mobile SCTP-based solutions are described in the current IETF drafts, they all depend on complex third party protocols and facilities employed in fixed networks to realize heavyweight location management. For the purpose of making the increased load of fixed network as low as possible and designing an easy realized IP mobility solution, we propose a new lightweight location management method-Multicast-liked Location Query (M -LQ) and a new mobile SCTP-based IP mobility solution-MS -MLQ. |
