Effect of 2-mercaptopropionylglycine (MPG) on thyroid function in sub-lethally irradiated mice

Summary External irradiation resulted in an increase in thyroid¹³¹I uptake and plasma PB¹³¹I conversion ratio, whereas pretreatment with MPG reduced both the values significantly.
