| 摘 要： | ＂鞭打＂是小说《父亲的微笑之光》的核心意象。不少评论者认为鲁宾逊对麦克德琳娜的鞭打,体现的是一种＂父权＂,是一种以爱的名义实施的＂所有权＂。通过细读文本指出：黑人学者鲁宾逊的身份具有＂双重性＂,鞭打麦克德琳娜的事件实质上是其互不妥协的两种灵魂矛盾斗争的佐证和结果。

| Abstract: | Whipping is the core image of the novel The Light of My Father's Smile.Quite a number of critics hold that it embodies a patriarchal control in the name of love.After a comprehensive analysis of the black father Robinson's double souls,this paper assumes that the whipping event in the novel is actually the product of the conflict between his two souls. |
