Abstract:The preparation technology of TiO2 nanoparticles was investigated with gas combustion of CO with O2. The mean particle size of TiO2 particles synthesized by the oxidation of TiCl4 is less than 100nm, of which the crystal is rutile or a mixture of rutile and anatase. The mean particle size of TiO2 particles decreases with increasing mixing temperature, decreasing TiCl4 concentration and residence time. The mass fraction of rutile in the TiO2 particles synthesized increases with increasing TiCl4 concentration and residence time. The mean particle size decreases and the rutile fraction increases when TiO2 is doped by Al2O3.
