| Abstract: | After a survey of the status of quo of lengthwise and crosswise traffic flow on the Huangpu River, this paper deduces from principles of traffic engineering the saturation point of traffic on the channel, and draws a conclusion about the shortest possible interval at which ferries are sent crosswise. |
