| Abstract: | This paper presents an exact solution for a free rectangular plate on elastic foundation by the method of superposition. The satisfaction of the differential equation together with the free boundary conditions and free corner conditions leads to four systems of infinite simultaneous equations and four ordinary simultaneous equations. Two numerical examples are included. |
