摘    要:在电磁波瞬态极化理论的基础上,研究了部分极化波的瞬态极化投影的统计特性.提出瞬态极化投影到期望极化轨道的距离的概念,其本质是两个极化信号瞬态极化投影的距离度量.在正态假设下,推出了该距离所服从的概率分布密度解析公式,并证明了当对部分极化波的独立采样数足够多时,该距离近似服从正态分布.

Abstract:The statistical characteristics of the instantaneous polarization projections (IPP) of partially polarized waves are studied on the basis of the theory of instantaneous polarization. A novel concept of the distance between an IPP and an expected polarization track is presented. It is essentially a measure of the distance between two polarization signals' IPPs in the metric space. Under the normal hypothesis, the probability density function (PDF) of this distance is derived. It's also proved that this distance obeys the normal distribution approximately when the number of the samples of a partially polarized wave is large enough. These results are of great importance to polarization signal detection, estimation and filtering.
