| 摘 要： | 职业核心能力是伴随劳动者终身的可持续发展能力。高职院校的教学目标是培养应用型人才，因而培养高职学生的职业核心能力尤为重要。“外语水平”是学生职业核心能力的重要组成部分，同时也是培养其他职业核心能力的重要平台。外语应用能力与职业核心能力是相互促进相互包容的关系。

| Abstract: | Vocational core competencies bear the characteristic of sustainable development in lifelong education. The cultivation of vocational core competencies is particularly important in higher vocational education, for its objective is to train applied talents. By explaining that foreign language proficiency is a necessary part of vocational core competencies and also a main platforms in cultivating other core competencies, the paper draws a conclusion of the mutual promoting relationship between foreign language proficiency and vocational core competencies. |
