Let me first clarify that science as developed in Islamic cultural areas or societies during the Middle Ages is abbreviated here as Islamic Science. In that context, the Exact Science is confined to astronomy (including mathematical geography) and mathematics only; physics was then a part of natural philosophy, and chemistry a branch of medicine.
