| Abstract: | Two kinds of kits made in China were used for detecting serum anti-HBcIgM in 64 healthy people. The results showed that the positive rates of anti-HBcIgM by SPRIA and ELISA kits were 40.6% and 25% respectively (P<0.005). The pseudo-positive rate of SPRIA(18.2%) was higher than that of ELISA(6.8%), but was not statistically significant(P>0.05). Neglect the pseudopositivity, the corrected positive rates were 28.1%(SPRIA) and 20.3%(ELISA) respectively(P>0.05). Obviously, the sensitivity and specificity of the two methods were essentially very close. In fact, there were much more advantagcs by using ELISA rather than SPRIA, ie. very simple in operation, no expensive equipments needed, no isotopic pollution and much cheaper. It was suggested that detecting anti-HBcIgM with ELISA was worth of recommending. |
