新建地方本科院校大学英语教学模式改革探索

An Exploration of College English Teaching Model Reform in Newly-built Local Undergraduate Universities

With the scale expansion of high education and growth in the number of recruit students, in recent years a batch of newly built undergraduate universities appeared in many areas. Owing to the multiple effects of student resource, teaching staff and facilities, college English teaching reform in these universities experienced many obstacles. Newly -built local undergraduate universities set its goal as ＂training applied talents to serve local economy and social development＂. Such goal should also be adapted to college English teaching in these universi- ties. Besides, application- oriented characteristic should be paid more attention. College English teaching should take various measures to improve students＇comprehensive ability and level in language using.
