| Abstract: | In this paper we shall consider a discontinuous nonlinear nonmonotone elliptic boundary value problem, i.e. a quasilinear elliptic hemivariational inequality. This kind of problems is strongly motivated by various problems in mechanics. By use of the notion of the generalized gradient of Clarke and the theory of pseudomonotone operators, we will prove the existence of solutions. |
