| Abstract: | The writer has made a series of tests and research into the mechanism of the optimum amount of rare earth added to cast iron which can improve the casting properties and raise its mechanical properties. Some property quota have been compared between the piston ring modified with rare earth and that not modified. Due to its advanced properties, this kind of material has been put into production. |
