基于半导体量子点的单光子源:原理、实现和前景

摘    要:确定性和高度不可分辨的单光子源是实现线性光学量子计算和固态量子网络的重要前提条件.半导体自组装量子点,具有良好的稳定性,易于集成于高品质因子的纳米微腔中,可获得超高亮度的单光子源.同时量子点可以作为光子—自旋比特的接口,可扩展的量子网络的结点.近年来共振激发技术的发展以及微腔加工技术的进步大大地提高了半导体量子点单光子源的品质,而成熟的半导体技术为这种单光子源的实用化奠定了基础.本文首先介绍单光子源的产生原理、性质以及在量子信息量子计算等领域的应用,然后介绍基于半导体量子点单光子源的技术发展和微腔量子点的进展.最后,讨论量子点单光子源未来的发展趋势.

Abstract:Deterministic and indistinguishable single photons are the prerequisite in optical quantum computing and solid-networks. Semiconductor self-assembled quantum dots offer distinct advantages in generating ultrabright single photons. Quantum dots can also be considered as a scalable solid-state platform and the interface between photon and spin qubits. Recently, resonant fluorescence and microcavity technology have promoted the generation of high quality single photons. This paper provides an overview of recent experimental progress of generating single photons from quantum dots as well as its application in quantum information and we discuss the future trends in quantum-dot based single photons.
