基本层次范畴判断标准的缺陷

概述了基本层次范畴的概念,在认知语言学中,范畴化是一个重要概念。而在判断汉语基本层次概念时认知语言学所使用的判断标准有缺陷。造成判断标准和词汇现象矛盾的主要原因是词汇系统、构词方式、思维方式的不同;此外,不同的文化模式对判断基本层次范畴也有相当大的影响。认为判断基本层次范畴应该和不同文化模式、不同语言系统相结合。提出假设:人类语言中大多数的基本层次范畴词语是相同的。

A Brief Analysis on the Deficiency of the Linguistic Criteria in Judging the Basic Level Category

This paper outlines the concept of basic level category. Category is an important concept in cognitive linguistics. On the basis of categorization in cognitive linguistics, this paper points out the deficiency of the linguistic criteria in judging basic level terms in Chinese. The lexical differences and the different modes of thinking may account for these contradictions. Moreover, the cultural model can also play an important role in judging basic level terms. This paper holds that it is necessary to combine different cultural models with different linguistic system in judging basic level category, and puts forward a hypothesis that the words and expressions in basic level category of most human languages are the same.
