"归化"、"异化"有无第一、第二的主次之分

翻译中的归化和异化是一对矛盾,人们常常为此争论,意见不一。实际上,在翻译的实践中,译者常常需要运用两种策略,并不断使之“圆满调合”,而不可以走极端。译文中有倾向于以归化或以异化为主的现象,但归化和异化这一对矛盾并没有主次之分,它们的位置随不同因素,如社会历史环境、译者目的、读者、文本类型等具体条件而变化。

Are There any Primary and Secondary Positions of Domestication and Foreignization in translation

Foreignition and Domestication are two conflicting translating strategies which people often argue about.In fact,translators have to use both of the two strategies in their translating process,and try to achieve an ideal balance and harmony without going to extremes.There does exist a phenomenon that sometimes translators tend to give one of the two strategies first consideration.However,there are no such definite and static primary and secondary positions between them.Instead,their positions are changing with social and historical factors,translating purposes,readers,text types,etc.
