| Abstract: | The push-pull effort is a kind of driving mechanism for the explanation of the process of urbanization. This paper discusses the formation of the pull and backward thrust of the cities in central region of China,analyzes the social problems and environmental problems occurring in the urban development,and points out that the urban development process is carried through under the co-action of the push,pull and backward thrust. |
