Study on the natural population dynamics of Cercidiphyllum japonicum in Hubei

This paper discusses the endangered state of Cercidiphyllum japonicum from the perspective of the geographical distribution? the population characteristics etc. The scattered distribution pattern of Cercidiphyllum japonicum often reduces gene exchange between different populations. Small population resultes in inbreeding. The growing processes are often affected by environmental factors. Based on all these evidences, it suggestes that Ex xitu conservation is probably the most appropriate means to save the species, especially for those small populations.
