反义是用不同的语言形式表示相反的意思，涉及语义基本关系，是学习、理解和掌握语言的重要方面。反义词分别位于语义轴的两端，具有相反的语义特征，是相互否定的。新出现的反义词是在特定语义标尺上相互对立的成对词，它们经常发挥并举功能和辅助功能。每一次反义词的分析只能分析一个语义连续统一体，并确定分析对比的语义特征。

Reconsiderations on Antonymy of English Vocabulary

Antonymy expresses contrary meanings in different linguistic forms. It concerns the basic semantic relationship and is an important method to study, understand and master language. Antonyms are located respectively on both sides of semantic axis. Being opposite in semantic features, they negate each other. However, the newly - appeared antonyms are opposed each other in pairs on specific semantic staff. They often perform coordinated ＆ ancillary functions. Each time when a pair of antomyms are analyzed, only one semantic continuum can be analyzed and the semantic feature in contrast should be determined.
