| Abstract: | Pyrrole and Benzaldehyde react with acid catalysis to form the cyclic intermediate 3 (Tetraphenylporphyrinogen). 3 is converted irreversibly to the TPPH_2 and TPC. In the prcsence of Nitrobenzene, the TPC is then converted to the TPPH2. |
