Presence of giant mitochondria during cerebellar ontogenesis in reptiles

Summary Giant mitochondria were observed in the perikarya and dendrites of Purkinje cells in the developing cerebellar cortex of the lizardGallotia galloti at sevral stages previous to hatching.
