By incorporating Confucianist, Buddhist and Taoist cultures while holding on to the thought of their own, they have made distinctive achievements in philosophy, rite-music, and ethics, and pushed Bai culture so hard to a richer and mature stage that they have earned Dali the honor of "A Noted Land of Literature".
