Abstract:When a TV camera is used as a detector, the light intensity of the image can be mesured. But the nonlinear characteristic of a TV camera will give rise to serious deviations in experimental results. This paper describes a mathod and results for calibrating the nonlinear characteristic in the TV camera. Several examples show that the calibration is quite effective.
