Abstract:In this paper, applications of equivalent-inclusion method to the composite microstress analysis, onset and evolution of microdamage, and the stiffness degradation caused by microdamage are presented in details. The paper shows that the method can be used to establish the relation between micromechanics and macromechanics of composites.
