| Abstract: | The energy loss of an irreversible Stirling refrigerator, which results from thermal resistance and regeneration loss, is studied. The minimum additional power of the refrigerator at a given refrigeration rate is derived and some significant discussions are done. The conclusions obtained here may provide some new theoretical guidance for the optimal design and the selection of optimal operating conditions of a Stirling refrigerator. |
