| Abstract: | starting from the properties of the energy levels of the Er3 in erbium-doped fiber amplifier,the characteristics of the input signal and output light are studied. The distortion of output signal in the gain saturation effect is analyzed. A method to reduce the distortion is presented by increasing the pump light power. |
