| Abstract: | The Cryptosporidium and intestinal protozoa infections of man and animal from Huaan; Fujian and Tacheng; Xinjiang. 305 inhabitants were examined and 28. 20% of them were found to be infected with 7 species of protozoa. They were: 1. Cryptosporidium parvjum (1. 9%);2. Entamoeba hartmanni (2. 1%);3. E. coli (8. 5%); 4. E.histolytica (3. 2% ); 5. Endolimax (0. 6%); 6. Iodamoeba buteschlii (0. 3%); 7. Giardia lamblia (8% ). Besides; the examinations of animal Cryptosporidium showed that 9 species of animals; involving monkey (Macaca mulata); cattle; domestic cat; dog; rabbit; chichen and 3 species of rodents natually harboured Cryptosporidium muris and C. Parvum; the later species caused human Cryptosporidiasis. The pathogen of human cryptosporidium infection and the importance of its animal hosts in epidemiology were briefly discussed in the end of this paper. |
