摘    要:欧文·朗缪尔在基础科学和应用技术领域硕果累累,他研制成功的充气白炽灯达到了白炽灯技术的顶峰,他建立起完整、清晰的表面吸附理论,为表面化学领域作出了杰出贡献。1934年,朗缪尔到访我国,发表演讲、与学者座谈,还为我国科技之发展提出建议。

Abstract:Irving Langmuir made a lot of great achievements in basic and applied science and technology. The gas-filledfilament lamp developed by him represents the pinnacle technology of incandescent lamp. Meanwhile, he set up complete and clearlystated Surface Adsorption Theory and made prominent contributions in the filed of Surface Chemistry. In 1934, Irving Langmuir wasinvited to China and gave academic lectures. Through academic exchanges with the scholars of our country, he put forward somevaluable suggestions about the developments of science and technology of China.
