| 摘 要： | 在早期的科学编史纲领研究中,近代地学研究一直被视为科学与宗教冲突模式的典范;地学研究与宇宙论的分离被视为现代地质学诞生的标志。随着新的编史纲领的出现,早期地学史呈现出不同的面貌。英国17世纪博物学家约翰.雷的地球博物学具有反理论性与整体性的特征,在他看来地球上各部分相互关联、相互影响。这种地球观念对今日的地学研究仍然有启示意义。
