| 摘 要： | 从语用对等、文化和语境三个方面探讨了数词的翻译。在英语和汉语中数词都可以作为比喻、夸张等的修辞手段来使用,使语言表达生动有力。由于这种语用对等,很多数词在英汉互译时可以采用直译法。但数词的翻译若涉及文化差异,则采用意译较好。在直译和意译皆可的时候,应视语境而定。

| Abstract: | The translation of numerals in literary works or daily use is discussed on the basis of pragmatic equivalence,culture and context.Numerals in both English and Chinese are used as a rhetorical device of exaggeration to make the language expression more vivid,effective and forceful.Because of this pragmatic equivalence,a lot of numerals can be translated literally.But if there are cultural differences it will be better to use free translation.Sometimes both literal and free translations may work,but so far as the specific context is concerned,it is better to use one of them. |
