| 摘 要： | 在汉语或英语中,委婉语的使用总要受到其所在语境的影响。从文化语境和情景语境的角度出发,通过一些典型的汉语和英语例子。观察并探讨说话者如何在双重语境的制约下选择使用委婉语,而委婉语又是怎样在双重语境的影响下发挥作用,即委婉语与其语境的关系问题。同时也通过对双重语境的分析来解释汉语和英语使用委婉语特点上的异同。

| Abstract: | The use of euphemisms is affected by their contexts in both Chinese and English. The relationships between the dual contexts and the use of euphemisms are explored, including the effect of the dual contexts on using euphemisms and the function of euphemisms in constructing the contexts. The causes for the differences between Chinese and English euphemisms are also discussed. |
