摘 要: | 在语言交际中,不同的人可能使用不同的语调,并且反映出他们不同的态度和情感。为了达到交际目的,避免误解,我们需要掌握和运用语调的相关知识。本文主要讨论了英语语调的四大功能(表态功能或表意功能、语用功能、语法功能和话语功能)及教学,旨在为英语学习者尤其在口语学习方面提供一些帮助和启发,同时为他们能够掌握不同语调在不同情景中所表达的不同交际意图打下基础。

On the function and teaching of the English intonation |

Abstract: | Different people may use different intonation in language communication, which can indicate their different attitudes and feelings. We need to grasp and employ the relative knowledge to avoid misunderstanding and achieve successful communication. This paper mainly concerns with the four functions of English intonation (attitudinal function, accentual function, grammatical function and discourse function) and teaching. It is to provide the English learners with some help and inspiration, in the English spoken learning in particular, and lay the foundation for their ability to understand other's communicative intentions from diverse intonations in different contexts. |
