英语学习者接触的语篇类型与语用能力发展

摘    要:调查了学生接触的语篇类型,探讨了语篇类型的多样性对学习者语用能力发展所带来的影响,从输入理论和考试反拨效应的角度去解释学习者语用能力发展相对滞后的现象。调查的结果显示学生接触的语篇类型绝大多数是学术语篇,很少实用语篇。学习者在学习过程中很少接触不同题材和体裁的语言使用方式,因此很难学会语言在不同语境下的运用,从而造成了交际活动中语用不得体现象的出现。

Abstract:The present study tries to probe the causes of college students' relatively low pragmatic competence based on the input theory and the backwash theory in language testing by conducting an investigation into the reading materials Chinese students are exposed to in their learning process.Data from the investigations demonstrate that the academic types were more employed in the large-scale tests and in textbooks that are investigated.The tests and textbooks fail to provide learners with a wide variety and diversity of text types.The students' insufficient exposure to various text types might be one of the reasons that lead to their insufficient notice to the use of language in different contexts,and hence hinders their pragmatic competence development.
