概念整合与语言的理解和教学

摘    要:语言的理解过程实际上是一个认知过程,概念是语言认知过程的产物。新的概念是贮存在人们记忆中的旧概念经过整合的结果。因此概念整合是人类的基本认知方式。介绍Fauconnier和Turner等人提出的概念整合理论及其分析手段,并以实例说明概念合成的认知过程。在此基础上,探讨概念整合理论对第二语言教学的启示和指导作用。

Abstract:Language understanding is in fact a process of cognition and it's production is various of concepts.A new concept is just the result of the blending of the concepts stored in one's memory.Therefore conceptual integration can be a basic form of cognition.In this paper,the authors first introduce the theory and the analyzing means of conceptual integration advanced by Fauconnier and Turner,and illustrate the theory with some examples.On this basis,the authors discuss the possibility of applying the theory to the practice of teaching English as the second language.
