Abstract:The application of the technique of Tradescantia poll,dota terad micronucleus for monitoring POllution from three rivers in Fuzhou City was reported in this paper. The results indicated that three rivers were all polluted in varying degrees and the extent of contamination for three rivers from the greatest to the least was Antal River, Baima River and Jinan River respectively. Except 50% dilutions of samples from Baima River and Jinan River, the different notability of micronucleus rate from any other experimental groups was extremely conspicuous compared with negative group--tap water(p<0.01). And the different notability of micronuclus rate from Antal River experimental groups was even greater than that of PYM, the positive group.
