单模光纤弯曲时波导几何效应双折射的摄动分析

摘    要:本文对阶跃型折射率圆截面单模光纤弯曲以后的场畸变及由于波导弯曲几何效应而导致的双折射进行了摄动分析,并给出了解析表达式.波导几何效应引起的双折射与a2/R02成比例,它的值远小于由于应力所引起的双折射.方波导的几何效应引起的双折射与圆光纤的结果属于同一数量级.

Abstract:The field deformation in curved step-index single-mode circular optical fibers and the birefringence induced by waveguide geometry effect are analyzed by perturbation method and the analytic result is given. The values of the birefringence are proportional to a2/R02 and are much loss than that induced by stress.
