城市特色是指一座城市的内容和形式明显区别于其它城市的个性特征,城市设计是城市形体环境设计的一种构思、方法、手段,它贯串于城市规划的各个编制阶段,不同编制阶段有不同的任务和重点。在规划设计中要处理好自然因素和人工因素的关系,多样化和统一性的关系,新与旧的关系,重点与一般的关系。

Brief Discussion of City Character and City Design

City character refers to the content and form of a city,which is clearly different from the characteristics of other cities.City design is an idea,method and mean when designing the city’s physical environment.It goes through all the preparation stages when doing city planning.And at the different stages,it has different tasks and priorities.In the process of design planning,we must recognize and deal with the relationship between the natural and artificial reasons,the diversity and the unity,the old and the new,the focus and the generals.
