| Abstract: | For judging the academic journals, the impact factor has been recognized as one of the most important criteria. This paper, from the view of the connotation of impact factor, citation practice in academy, and characteristics of journals, discusses the features of the accuracy and fuzziness of the impact factor, so that a correct understanding of it can be expected and the best use of it can be made as well. |
