| Abstract: | Many authors showed that the trend of the strength of hydroacids of the elements within main group is not explained with the electronegativity. In this article, we give an empirical equation to relate the strength of hydroacids,pka,with the electronegativity,covelcnt readius,and absolute value of the oxidation number of the element. It can explain satisfactorily the trend of the strength of hydrocids. |
