摘    要:本文提出一种基于边缘检测的三维子波变换运动图象压缩编码方法。该方法首先对图象序列进行三维子彼变换;然后对变换后的分解图采用在同一子波变换层中通过检测低频区来检测高频区的边缘,以及检测低频帧来检测高频帧的边缘运动矢量;最后只对检测到的有效边缘或边缘运动矢量进行编码,省略位图编码。实验结果表明,这种方法在不增加运算复杂程度的情况下,获得得了好的主观质量和高的压缩比。

Abstract:A new 3-D wavelet transform(WT)coding algorithm with edge detection forblocks of image sequences is presented. The edge detection of the high-frequency areasand high-frequency frames of decomposition which had been transformed three timesby 3-D wavelet transform is done via detecting the low-frequency areas and thelow-frequency frames respectively in the same WT-level. So it doesn' t require thetransmission of any address information, and only the effective edges and edge-motionveCtors arc coed. The main attraction of the new algorithm over existing methods isthe high compression ratios achievable with good reconstruction quality without any increment of computational requirements.
