英语双关与认知语境

摘    要:结合关联理论,具体探讨认知语境与英语双关的认知语用阐释关系。释话人认知语境中的词汇信息、百科知识信息和逻辑信息在英语双关的理解过程发挥引导和制约作用。充分重视认知语境这三个要素的阐释作用,有助于释话人选择恰当的语境假设、获取话语最佳关联、正确推断发话人的意图、确定英语双关的多种意义。

Abstract:The article tries to explore into role of cognitive context in the interpretation of puns. It is pointed out that lexical information, encyclopedic information and logical information in the interpreter's cognitive context act as guides and constraints in puns' interpretation process. They are conducive to the interpreter's selection of appropriate contextual assumptions and the search for the optimal relevance, which is decisive to the inference of the producer's intentions and the sensible interpretation of puns.
