| Abstract: | Summary The sounds produced by the Spiny Lobster,Palinurus vulgaris, and their origin are briefly described. One animal reacted clearly to similar artificial sound stimuli, in some cases even  vocally . Elimination of both statocysts had no influence on these reactions. |
