| Abstract: | Based on the theory of elastic thin walled beams,taking into account of the combining effects of tensioning compressiving,bending and twisting,the non linear equations of motion for the thin walled beams with open section are derived.By using the harmonic balance method,the non linear dynamic stability of the beams with ends simply supported is solved under an axial harmonic load.The effects of some parameters on principal region of dynamic instability are illustrated in numerical examples. |
