DISCUSSION ON THE JUDGING METHODS OF THE TYPE OF S-P HYBRIDIZED ORBIT

This paper presents two judging methods of the type of central atom s-p hybridized orbit that in accordance with the.objective laws and facts-the x-bond number method and the formula calculating method. With common molecules and ions, these two methods are not only concise, accurate and easy to understand, but also consistent with the results deduced by the isoelectronic theory, the valence-bond theory and the VSEPR regulations, so have obvious practical values.
